Sequim Bike Shop – received a letter last month from attorneys for the California chain demanding he change his business’ name.

What does a guy named Mike, who opens a bike shop call it?

MIKE’s BIKES of course.

But – if your name is Mike – and you open a bike shop – you may get a cease and desist letter.    And because it is so expensive for a small business to fight legal battles, some people, named Mike, would start a contest to find a new name.

12 years ago Mike Wanner opened his store Mike’s Bikes in Sequim.  Now he has to change the name of his shop or face heavy legal fees trying to fight to keep it.  Apparently a bike chain in California is all jacked up about other Mike’s Bikes  and they’ve got intentions to make sure there’s no other Mike’s with Bikes following their name on the planet.

Read about the situation and the contest to find a new name for Mike’s Bikes in Sequim.

YOU could win $200.00
