WIBC meets with WSDOT – May 9th – Commissioners Hearing Room

Greetings WIBC Members & Whidbey Cyclists,

According to the League of American Cyclists, Washington continues to lead the nation as the most bicycle-friendly state, for the sixth year in a row. Now we have a chance for Whidbey Cyclists to meet with our state cycling representatives and hear what’s happening! Please come out to show support for island cycling.

Folks from WSDOT and Skagit are coming to Whidbey on May 9th to meet with the County Transportation Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to discuss the U.S. Bike Route program and state biking projects. They would like to meet with members of the local cycling community on that day as well.  Come to the meeting and weigh in with the powers that be.

Please come to the TAC meeting from 1-3 PM on Thurday May 9th in Coupeville. The meeting will be in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room (in the basement of the County Annex Building at 1 NE 6th Street, Coupeville, WA–access via an outside staircase on the 6th Street side).

See you there!
Brian Wood
Secretary, WIBC
