If you’ve been wanting to get the kids into mountain biking but don’t know where to start, writer Amy Whitley of pitstopforkids.com has a great article in OutdoorsNW with lots of  good tips for getting the family started riding on the trails!

At the beginning of the article Amy asks “Which is better: walking a mountain trail, or mountain biking it? This is what my kids would call a “no-brainer.”  And with all of Whidbey’s wonderful trails, getting the kids rolling is a no-brainer for sure.  Short drive, or ride, and you’re ready to rock the wheels on Whidbey!

Check out Amy’s >article for a Mountain Biking 101 for Families.

Don’t forget to go over bike safety with the kids too – >here.  And then go over Road and Safety Law – >here.

EDUCATION is POWER when your on the bike.
