Bike to work or school; ride to save money or time; pump those pedals to preserve your health or the environment; or simply to explore your community, National Bike Month is an opportunity to celebrate the unique power of the bicycle and the many reasons we ride.
But wherever you ride we hope you’ll be safe. Brush up on road rules and laws. Share them with your family and friends.

Plan to be with WIBC and the Island County Trail Council this Saturday for some good work on the Kettles trails.
BE SAFE RIDE HARD

- May 10th – Saturday – WIBC members will be on base at NAS Whidbey Island for the Spring Adventure Expo.
- May 12 thru Friday May 16th – It’s BIKE TO WORK WEEK. Next week is ride your bike to work week concluding on Friday the 16th with ride your bike to work day. If someone wants to set up a station to recognize bicycle commuters with a few treats on Friday, WIBC would be willing to help you out. Please contact us!
Logging your biking miles: WIBC is part of a national group of bike clubs who spend part of our volunteer hour,s as club volunteers and bikers, seeking out better bike focused policies, infrastructures and community involvement in biking. We need to be able to illustrate the benefits of bicycling in a way that resonates with decision-makers — and we need to have the credible statistics to back it up. Please help us provide those numbers. We ONLY combine and share the miles ridden as a group, no email addresses, phone #’s or physical addresses are required in signing up for logging miles.
Anyone can start a WIBC Most Miles in May log.
