National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event involving dfcitizens, law enforcement and emergency personnel from the City of Oak Harbor, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, the Island County Sheriff’s Department, NAS Whidbey, and local officials from Island County.
At the WIBC booth we’ll have lots of free goodies for those who ride their bike to our booth. Bring the kids too.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!
Many free family activities are held during the entire event including demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on activities for all ages.
