Helmets Required

Print your waiver out or sign it at the ride

Park Discover Pass Required – can be purchased at park or online.  Options: 1 day or annual.  Great deal!  Those arriving on bikes can enter the park from outside the gate.  $10 per day or the great deal of $30 per year!  It’s a deal for anyone who likes to walk, hike, ride, camp, BBQ or just sit on a bluff.

The ride starts at the Gun Battery at noon, follow the WIBC signs from Park entry.

The course will be marked with arrows and flagging (green easy, blue intermediate and black hard). The course is about 5 miles long. We recommend that you plan on about an hour to ride, stop and enjoy the park.

The ride starts at 1pm with a walk through the gun battery and an out and back ride to the water tower, good riders can follow the blue route and not have to ride back to the gun battery (blue is more difficult roots and steep climbs).

Mountain bike or a cyclocross bikes are recommended but road bikes have been used in the park (WIBC President Matt Plush says of road bikes “I wouldn’t ride mine”)

A skills section will be available for you to test your skills next to the gun battery, staffed by Anacortes junior and senior high mountain bike race team.

Age range 4 – 70 years.  Lots of families.  The Oak Harbor High School S2S club will be on hand to pain faces and do crafts.

The trails are dry and most forecasts say no rain this weekend so they should stay dry.  Sustained winds of 30 mph or gust to 50 will cancel event otherwise the ride will go on, rain or shine.

It’s a blast.  Bring your camera
